We started off the day
with some breakfast at the 4-H center. Then we headed for Arlington National
Cemetery, where we watched the changing of the guard and were able to see the
eternal flame of JFK. All of us wished we had more time because the cemetery
gave us a better understanding that Freedom is not free. When we arrived back
at the 4-H center, we went into congressional session, where everyone was
treated as representatives and we passed and failed bills we had created
earlier in the week. It helped us learn how to write, argue, and debate on
bills. For dinner, we went to an amazing dinner theater called Toby's. The play
we saw was called 1776. It was about the writing and the signing of the
Declaration of Independence.
