Day 3

We started off our journey in Charleston, WV where we had stayed overnight. After a mad dash to eat breakfast and get loaded up in 30 minutes, we hit the road to get to Willamsburg, Virginia. A quick pit stop at a Wal-Mart to buy all the items we had forgotten (and some food), we were on the road again. Our lunch break was in the  lovely town of Charlottesville, Virginia where we got complimented by the Hardee's staff. They said we were much more respectable than the last 4-H group that had came through there. Marietta was very proud of us. Then, back to the bus where we practiced our group chant for DC and it sounds fantastic! The next stop was in Jamestown where we learned all about the history of the first successful settlement in what would eventually become the United States of America. It was a really interesting tour, but we were all so grateful for the air conditioned building. Let's just say we didn't handle the humidity well. After Jamestown, we went to our hotel for the evening and all dispersed to go find food. We all migrated back to the hotel and down to the pool where we played volleyball with some little kids. Raymond (one of the kids) decided he was the best at it, but Asher Huck would probably disagree. The children's parents told us that we were really great kids. After the pool we had reflections and passed out t-shirts for tomorrow. I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!
