The trip has been great
and very busy, so we are just now getting caught up on the blog. We started our
day with breakfast, then loaded on the bus, heading for the capital. When we
arrived, group photo's were taken, and a tour of the capital took place. We
then headed to meet with our state and district representatives. Of course,
selfies were taken with them. After, we walked to food court and had lunch.
Then it was off to Twilight Tattoo, a military show, and it was fantastic!
Their performance was amazing. After watching Twilight Tattoo, the Kansas crew
loaded up and headed for Iwo-Jima Memorial. When we arrived, it started to rain
but that couldn't stop us from seeing the memorial and talking some photos of
course. So even though it rained, we didn't stop and continued on our trip
where we visited the Pentagon 9/11 Memorial crash sight. It was a memorial that
left us all speechless, in the rain. But after seeing all we wanted, we loaded
up on the bus and headed back to the National 4-H Center, ready for some
necessary sleep.
